Cotton Bowl: Ole Miss vs. Ok State

AT&T Cotton Bowl

Robert Guliano on Why Ole Miss will win: Because we are all waiting for them to be good. Hailed at the beginning of the season as the dark horse national champion, Ole Miss has yet to impress everyone. The Rebels have all but disappointed all year. It was all culminated by an abhorrent two-touchdown loss to “rival” Mississippi State.

Ole Miss Key Players:

3. Dexter McCluster- This kid is quicker than a Britney Spears marriage.

2. Houston Nutt- He is used to leading Heisman-talented teams to the Cotton Bowl (i.e. Arkansas/Darren McFadden)

1. Jevan Snead- The highly touted quarterback was a legitimate Heisman contender entering the year. However, after 17 interceptions the once potent field general looks more like Don Quijote when he goes to battle.

Brandon Hickey on why Ok State will win: Oklahoma State comes into the first ever Cotton Bowl not played at the Cotton Bowl (it's being played at the new Cowboys stadium) with an outstanding 9-3 record. The Cowboys came into the 2009 season with high hopes and a top ten rating before a stunning loss to then-unknown Houston. They then won 8 of their next 9 games before falling in the Bedlam game to Oklahoma. Senior Zac Robinson has been pretty average for them with 15 touchdowns throught the air and another 4 on the ground. Running back Kendall Hunter got banged up during the year and had to sit out a few games, but hopes to regain what he had last year.
OK STATE Players to Watch:

3. The Secondary-It will be interesting to see how the secondary holds up against Jevan Snead, because Case Keenum torched them for 366 yards and 3 touchdowns.
2. OT Russell Okung-Okung is a solid pass protector and should go high in next year's draft. He also just sounds like a good offensive lineman.
1. Deion Sanders-All the Oklahoma State players need to stay away from Prime Time. Because apparently if you go over to his house, that is an NCAA violation and they will rule you ineligible.

THE COMPROMISE: Without Dez Bryant the Cowboys just aren't the same, Rebels roll 20-14.
